This is the prologue piece to a much longer, much actual inflation filled fic I am writing. If you're wondering why I felt the need to write such a prologue, I think it will eliminate the need for a lot of expository dialogue about the virus in the main story, letting us get to the good bits faster. If you're wondering why I decided to interject a playful narrator character, I may have lost the first draft of the story, and needed a way to skip through a ton of redundant dialogue. I hope this gets you excited for the main fic, and maybe inspires you to follow this extended prompt.
