I believe the standard fare is, gas, grass or um, tail. If you stick to this simple rule, being the designated driver isn't so bad :p

Ah, hexadecimal. I'm writing a chapter in my story in which the male protagonist is explaining being a CIT to someone who's looking at becoming one. I'm thinking of having him explain how binary, octal, and hexadecimal are related.

Octal. I haven't done anything with that in ages.

One of my fictional races has 8 fingers and their mathematics was Octal, so I developed an entire alien way of writing numbers for Base8.

It's a bit of whiplash, but remember he was considering it when his dad said he could find test subjects there. Obviously, that won out. I think the idea of him actually having a girlfriend in any capacity just freaks him out because he's not used to it.

I would go to a waffle con! Even if only to see if I could get a square, non-belgian-style waffle maker. Round waffles are rip-off! They're literally cutting corners to be all sneaky and underhanded and cheat you out of the more waffle you could have if they were square and still the same width/length. Belgian style just takes it to the next level. Bigger waffle indentations to hold more butter and syrup they say? LIES! It's just more empty space meaning yet even less waffle!

Have you calculated the area of circular waffles to come to that conclusion? :D
