one of the men(which is Jackie) notices Basilosaurus's pulling the boat and demands that he turns the boat around except he no listen and whistles for them and tells them(English Translation) "Jubro and Seru!" you two hungry? time to eat!"

but before that Aggie is curious about his arm he tells them that he fed it to a hungry I rex losing half of his arm until he fed the last half to his Basilosaurus's now they can snack on a whole village which was why the village they visited was destroyed blood was splattered around homes etc so they ate half of the other boatman except the one Aggie was on Shiranui hops on to one of em and tells them they can eat the rest after sundown.

He does have a blood relative who is raised by Sperm Whales after surviving the Ann Essex sinking of the 1800's after a wounded sperm whale sunk it
