Been wanting to try my hand at Post Apocalypse and well here's my shot at it. Enjoy and if anything this is just a small bit of the world I had in mind.

In a large dilapidated city that was slowly being reclaimed by nature, the once tall builds of concrete and steel were now being covered with vines and moss, while grass fields took over what was once streets and sidewalks along with the remains of hollowed out cars that were left to rot.
On the top of one apartment building an odd symbol of a red skull chewing on another yellow skull could be seen on the front as the words EATERS were crudely written below it. Suddenly the door was rammed open as a young teen wearing a gas mask, knee and elbow pads, worn out hoodie, camo cargo shorts with skate shoes along with a moderately size backpack on his back could be seen putting the respirator to work as he breathed heavily into it.
Looking around the rooftop to find a way down the young teen's focus was shattered by shouting coming from the building he just exited.
"CATCH HIM! CATCH THE LITTLE FRESH MEAT!!!"
"FRESH MEAT, FRESH MEAT!!!"
Looking over one edge the little runner was glad to see that the next roof over was not that high or far. Taking a few steps back, the teen leaped off the roof just as a group of crazy looking psychos in patch armor made of scraps, ragged pants and shoes, and bad neon tribal like art on their bodies stumbled out of the doorway each brandishing a makeshift weapon whether it be a piece of wood with nails, baseball bats, rebar with concrete, or rusted pipes. They watched the young scavenger fly off the roof and onto the next building.
"AFTER HIM, AFTER HIM!!!" A mohawked man shouted pointing towards the fleeing boy.
Not wasting a second the group went chasing after him each taking the same leap the boy did.
Landing with a roll, the boy wasted no time springing to his feet and running across the rooftop towards the next building. Hearing his pursuers landing behind him, he did his best to kick it into high gear as he jumped into the next building.
The next building had a skylight that covered most of it, which the teen landed on it with a loud thud. The boy sucked in a breath as he watched the glass crack under him but didn't break thankfully.
Quickly hoping off the glass ceiling and onto the solid roof he continued to flee as he heard the hunting party just begin to jump off the building he was on before.
Each one of the crazies landed on the same glass roof as the boy did causing the glass to spider web more and more. As each one either kept running or jumped off the skylight the last one to land was not so lucky as the glass ceiling finally gave way and shattered causing him and another to fall into the building below.
Continuing to flee across the rooftops, the boy stumbled as he landed on one large rooftop that looked to have been converted into a garden/small park with trees, grass, flowers, and a pond. Climbing back to his feet the boy stopped when he spotted a crud sign posted nearby.
"DON'T STEP ON THE FLOWERS!!!"
Normally one would just take that as some grounds owner being very uptight but the boy knew it meant something else.
Looking down he spotted patches of flowers dotting the place in odd patterns. Watching his footing he hopped from one grass patch to another.
Seeing their prey slow down, the group let out multiple whoops and howlers like animals as they jumped down onto the garden. Ignoring the sign the group broke out into a sprint after the scavenger.
As the one member pulled ahead of the group, he was just about to grab a hold of the boy's bag when his foot came down on a patch of purple flowers.
Suddenly a loud roar was heard as the crazy suddenly disappeared into the patch before the group causing them to slide to a stop. At the same time the teen froze as his blood went cold.
"Oh no…" was all he could say as he slowly turned back where the man disappeared.
Popping right out of the ground, was a large purple colored Venus flytrap which had the man struggling in it's jaws. Hitting it with his club the plant seemed to have no response before shaking it's head like a dog with a chew toy a few times before tossing it's head back and flipping the man into the air before snapping him out of it.
A large gulp was heard as a bulge traveled down it's stalk followed by the plant belching up the man's shoes. Suddenly more of the same plants began to appear around the psychos who could only scream and shout as a few were picked off by the plants.
Seeing an opening, the boy quickly hopped past the last few flower patches before bolting down the fire escape that was still intact.
Dropping onto the grass plains below the boy quickly took off down the road to put as much distance away from both the crazies and the man-eater plants as possible.
Climbing over a wrecked taxi and turning a corner onto another street, the boy began to slow down before coming to a stop next to a wrecked cop cruiser. Panting heavily behind the mask, the boy wiped some sweat from his brow and was about to continue on his way when suddenly a hand reached out and pulled the boy off his feet.
"Where do you think you are going little meat?" The leader of the crazies asked as he held the boy in the air.
The leader and four of his hunting party were all that remained after the run in with the plants. Each one was covered in cuts, bruises, and what looked like plant juices.
The boy struggled trying to get loose from the man's grip but he just laughed as he poked and prodded the boy.
"Small...but meat is still meat," he said with a grin.
As the group laughed and cheered over the fact that not only they caught the boy but also that they wouldn't have to share as much, none of them noticed something moving among the tall grass towards them.
Right as the thing moving in the grass came up behind one of the members, a golden furred hand shot out and grabbed a man by the leg before pulling him into the dense grass. With a shout of alarm The Eaters turned to watch as the last of their member was dragged into the tall grass before his shouts drowned out by a loud roar.
Thinking the plants were back the group quickly got back to back preparing for any signs of the flora to attack.
At the same time the leader held the boy close using him as both a shield but also tight enough to make sure he didn't flee again.
Looking for any signs of flowers or vines, the group was surprised by the sound of something swooping down before something came and snatched another member away.
Trying to spot what ever carried the hunter away, all the group saw was some red feathers floating down from the sky.
Starting to panic a little, one member screamed before making a break for it. The man had made it a good few yards when he stumbled into a large pond that was made from the road collapsing.
Struggling to swim out, the man was barely to the edge before something grabbed him and dragged him back under.
Down to the last hunter and the leader, the boy grinned under his mask as he looked back the leader.
"They're here…" was all he said with a grin just before the last member was suddenly swept up by something reptilian.
Finally having the fear set in the leader just gritted his teeth and threw the kid to the ground in front of him.
"Your not worth it!" He shouted as he turned to flee.
Only to stop as he ran face first into something big and furry.
Falling onto his rear the crazy looked up to see a large dark brown wolf anthro wearing a pair of blue jeans with a gun belt across his waist and simple leather armor on his shoulders.
Glaring down at the once hunting group leader, the wolf began to growl as the man quickly climbed to his feet and tried flee once more but was cut off by a large lion man walking out of the grass with a pair of brown cargo pants, along with a leather vest and a machete across his back but what stood out most was the large golden brown belly struggling in front of him.
Landing next to the king of beast was a lean red tail hawk man with a pair of black baggy cargo pants and a worn in hoodie and hunting rifle across his back who also had a good size gut hanging out of his jacket.
Turning towards another direction the man only got a few feet before running into something big a scaly.
Standing before him was a large alligator anthro in tan cargo shorts and hooded vest wielding a elephant gun that looked like a simple varmint rifle to him. Like the others his belly was also bloated and squirming.
Slowly backing away in fear the psycho heard something land behind him with a thud along with a few loud flaps.
Turning around he was now shivering as he saw a large anthro red and gold scaled western dragon in black jeans and denim vest grinning at him as his belly bulged out of the vest.
Leaning forward the dragon belched in the man's face causing him to cough and stagger back until he ran into something soft.
Opening his eyes, the gang leader saw he had once more walked into the wolf from before. Only this time the canine was no longer growling but licking his lips.
Before the crazy could run the wolf snapped the man up to his chest and lifted him up into the air. Using both gravity and the man's weight the screaming psycho could only flail as he slipped into the wolf's gullet with a loud gulp.
With a couple of flicks and swallows all that was left of the man was a pair of twitching boots which were soon slurped up and sent down into the wolf belly.
Sighing in content the wolf licked his lips and patted his belly as the once hunter or men was now a prey to the anthro.
Feeling his belly bubble and gurgle the wolf's cheeks ballooned a little before he belched out the man's boots. Which gained a few cheers and whoops from the anthros surrounding him.
Sighing once more in content the wolf was distracted from the bliss of being full only to be drawn out by the boy the group of humans were chasing before. The said boy was standing behind the wolf while gently tugging him on his tail.
Turning around the wolf dropped to one knee and looked at the masked covered child. At first no spoke or moved before the boy stepped forward and took off his mask before he wrapped his arms around the wolf's neck.
"Thank you for saving me uncle Balto," the boy said as the wolf hugged him back.
"Your welcome pup," the wolf said with a smile only to pull the boy back and look at him with a hard glare. "And what did I tell you about scavenging on your own?"
Hearing this the boy went side eyed and uhed...like he just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
"To always pack an equalizer?" The boy replied.
"What? No! I mean yes! But to also never do so without one of us watching you!" The wolf shouted. "This is the third time young man, from now on your grounded for a week!"
"But Uncle Balto!" The boy whined.
"No buts I told you this multiple times…"
As the two went back and forth the rest couldn't help but laugh as they watched the drama play out.
