This is a remix! Of FF6's Theme for Kefka, and I can't believe I hadn't uploaded this earlier, so I fix! ^^
(De-scrapped cause I really didn't want it to be anyway but I was being silly in the face)

don't worry, taking a class in theory will actually make your style /more/ unique--because you'll have a better understanding of what you're doing and you'll be able to zero in on those musical points more clearly.
As for critique, I think you make the bell instrument playing the melody louder, at least for while it's playing the melody. I like the contrast between that instrument and the saw synth tho, but right now the saw is overpowering that melody. I also think your drums may be a bit too muddy throughout. A little bit of muddiness sounds great, but after a while my ears are asking to hear a crisper sound. Also, right now your piece is basically in a rondo form, in the sense that you have a refrain that you return to with episodes of varied content in-between (that's what Beethoven does in the third movement of the Sonata Pathetique, or more commonly known as the Beethoven Virus). I think you could go with even more variation! Try using other themes from within the piece, or other themes from through out the game (a Dancing mad quote would be nice), and make these episodes longer. See how you can tie them into the overall piece. It's a bit too repetitive for my tastes right now.
So in short, besides my two production qualms (lead voice volume and muddy drums), I'm basically saying that I want more! What you have here is great for what it is, but if you ever decide to open it back up again or for the next thing you make, try putting more thematic material in. A bit of repetition is great for continuity, but I think right now you could use a bit more variation. I like this tho, you did a good job :D
