Ooh, he came out awesome!
...though, he's probably MORE awesome than your scanner gives him credit for. Did you tweak/run Auto Levels/Contrast in Elements? That should eliminate some of the washout, so the blacks aren't so grey and the whites pop. (I volunteer to try, if you wanna zap me the file...)
