It really was astounding how the manatees were so curious about us humans in the river with them. But with no natural predators, I guess I would be the same way ^^

I can't remember how you can tell the difference between the sea cow or the male. Do you know?

It's actually pretty hard to tell unless they roll over so that you can see their tummies (which many of these did). The males have their genitals located close to their navels, and the females' parts are closer to the anal opening.

I swam with them once while i was on holiday. They are beautiful creatures! ^^

Three Sisters is considered part of Crystal River, so yep I was there! ^^

I know manatees and dugongs are seperate species, but I still can't help going, "DU-GONG-GONG-GONG!" out loud at this pic. Yay, Poké-mans. x3
