This shade of sky blue is my all-time favorite. It pairs beautifully with the white on this 1956 Ford Custom 300. Oh, yeah, there’s chrome too. I think I’m in love.

I love these odd-angle views you do. have seen these cars many times and never appreciated the raised portion outboard of the headlight. =^.^=

My Dad bought a 1956 Plymouth Savoy in white over sky blue for Mom to learn to drive, but she couldn't master the manual transmission and she had some minor trouble with her eyesight and flunked the test anyway. My oldest brother rapped it up one night and it needed an engine rebuild, but Dad wouldn't spring for parts. It sat in the side yard almost 20 years until someone offered him $100 for it.

I loved that car!

Thanks for the story, Perfesser. I have to wonder what became of that car now. Hopefully, it's been lovingly restored and is making rounds of car shows like this one.
