The phrase leapt into my mind while I drew this. This is just a rough sketch, colored, of Onyx, whose picture may be found in Shastacat's gallery.
The picture of Onyx used as inspiration is of course copyright Shastacat, and I thank him most dearly for giving me permission to use his images as inspiration. There will be more drawings of Onyx to come, as this queen is well-deserving of whatever art my humble human hands may make of her.

M'Lady: very nicely done. The title is also quite profound; I think of the true nobility whose desire it was to help the people of their domains, rather than just crush them or dominate them as petty peasants. The true nobility didn't worry of jewels or decoration than marked their place.
Personally, if you'l forgive my being perhaps a bit anthropomorphic, I think Onyx would be flattered by both your artwork and especially the title.
Well done, Lady Rowanwand!
