Cute n' poofy~

This style is precious! What did you do to get this effect?

Selected the area I needed to work with for each color (so the hoodie for purple, the hair for red and so on) and using a very low pen pressure I went ahead and colored with sai default waterbrush, which is basically the same as using an airbrush and a smooth tool at the same time, then for any error I used a smooth edged eraser.
The drawback in doing this is the color isn't 100% solid so it's not possible to have a transparent bg unless a solid color is applied under the character (at least only way i could think off of)

It's the equivalent of using watercolors on paper basically x3

I like this more sketchy approach and the colors feel nicer to look at. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this style from you in the future.

Sketching is what I do to help get my hand ready for actual work, but sometimes it does stand wonderfully on its own too
