This metropolis displays its seasoned strains,
Denizens rough it as a newcomer complains,
Silenced are gripes by deafening freight trains,
Our mettle tested from urban banes,
Where puny pups become gritty Great Danes,
Smoggy odors and the stench of methanes,
Course through the air like blood in our veins,
While the wealthy and prosperous revel with fine champagnes,
The busted and indigent go against the societal grains,
The one thing that no one ever explains,
Why our thirst for abandon is all that remains,
In the city where fiercely unruly freedom reigns,
We are all keystone kings of our downtown domains."





A drawing featuring my two original anthro characters, Rosco the chihuaha and Scalez the lizard. Illustrated them in sketch form and flat-color back in 2015 in Art Academy: Sketchpad on Wii U and finished the coloring/background on the PC in GIMP. Took me until early January a few years ago to finally finish it. Was originally going to be just Scalez seeing as how I wanted to see how he'd appear in my style after not drawing him in about ten years, since his creation in these iterations: https://www.deviantart.com/bowser81.....calez-45883461 https://www.deviantart.com/bowser81889/art/Scalez-On-The-Streets-45883605. Then I decided to fill in the empty space to his left originally intended for a distant streetlight-lit freeway background that never came to desired fruition, so I included Rosco who I haven't seriously drawn aside from a few random doodles since his creation in 2010: https://www.deviantart.com/bowser81.....ahua-389109258 . Had some help from Eleeveen on dA who kindly soft-shaded them both in for me with a pretty cool lighting style, and had some help from Dr-Pen on dAwho kindly digitally outlined my original sketch of these two. Figured a nighttime cityscape background would fit them both pretty well seeing as how Scalez has roots in the city, and he was the original subject and focus of this anyway. Rosco and Scalez are both good friends, although with two pretty contrasting personalities they get along pretty well.

Anyway, that's all there is to this. :P
