This was part of a 4 piece kimono collection I did a while back!
This kimono reminds me of autumn, the way that the feathers fall off the phoenix who is dying like Autumn leaves falling from it's tree (representative of winter approaching). Just like the phoenix, the spring will come and bring renewal.
