damn scanner...
what is this, a random monster maybe? actually it's an idea for a parasite species in the Untold, pretty much all reapers have one that lives inside their bodies. The idea is that these creatures are actually harmless, when it's host dies it can live on it's own sometime taking the traits of it's previous owner. Depending on what species it inhabits and what behavior it's host exhibits, it can mutate into many different forms. This is a stage one so most if not all start off looking like this.
Subject and form is to change, it's just an idea. If anything, it will stay as a species if not a parasite. My favorite thing- how the legs came out XD
