Oh wow? I love it???

I'm a HUGE sucker for weird-but-recognizable technology, especially if its kind of clunky. I actually just finished reading an old RP log where I'd had magnetically-disruptive megacorporate aliens that, as a result of their very existence disrupting unshielded/complex electronics nearby, made all the computers on their spaceships big chunky analogue things.

Spaceships with TICKER TAPE. The most advanced displays they had were chunky, heavily-shielded monochrome cathode-ray monitors.

computers in this setting just physically cannot progress passed this level of sophistication because of how the stuff they use for it works

so this is IT this is where it stalls

long reams of that awesome paper with the rippable dot strings on the side for grabbing

GOOD STUFF

I just really love the idea of control rooms that are a cross between like... the bridge of the Nostromo and an industrial revolution factory. Cushy chairs and command consoles and lots of big blinking lights and dials and rotary counters and the occasional bit of more complicated technology.

They needed to scout an alien facility on the other side of a valley so they waited until another ship in orbit took actual photographs, then beamed them down via radio transmission and then waited for a microfilm printer to spit out copies that they could look at under a magnifying lens, it was great

This is gorgeous and I love the details in the readouts across the monitor and your attention across their outfits.
The way you draw posture is so good, too. You capture body language so well.
