Hallowlem's separated body allows it to somewhat change it's composition to adapt to certain functions, like, in this example, become a some sort of Bipedal-Drill, potentially for mineral extraction.
...I personally don't like this art piece too much, not of my greatest works, I could've probably done better with the spinning effect but oh well, it is what it is.
