Well, this took an interesting turn. I know we are supposed to be siding with the robot and lawyer in the last panel, but the cyborg makes a good point.
At first, I saw someone mention about how they seemed to be bringing up that the robot had been given upgrades/changes that give him senses. Hearing, sight, and touch. I thought smell and taste were going to be mentioned next, and that the reveal would be that those models of robots do have the capability to become self-aware, but that development is stinted because of the lack of being able to actually sense and experience anything, like the equivalent of a brain in a jar with no eyes, ears, etc.
But now that it was revealed that one of the changes they made to the robot was to add an actual brain to it, I have to admit, she has a good point that it was the upgrades that made him self-aware, not just that they can on their own.

Did... they actually tell the plaintiff's lawyer anything before sending them to the robotic wolves? They seem to be scrambling here, and that is not a good thing when you're in court. They'd better come up with some killer arguments and quick, because so far the defense seems to be trouncing them pretty badly.
A laser-proof suit might not go amiss either...

>And yes, it's becoming apparent to her that the people that hired her, failed to mention some critical details.
Not telling your lawyer all the details, that's a great way to shoot your foot(or your lawyer's foot as it may be) at the outset...
I thought she had it bad before, but sounds like both sides are working to trip her up, one intentionally and one (hopefully) on accident.
Time to break out all the stops lawyer lady, you've got quite the uphill battle ahead of you.

Idk why but I can totally see the cyborg girl's pov showing a terminator-esque interface, then zooming onto the other lawyer's face, scanning it, and showing text which is usually meant to provide information about stuff, but instead it just goes..

If she is a cyborg, does that mean she was originally human? I see the point of a cyborg being human.
Personally there aren't many works that do this topic justice. I dislike how poorly the argument was made in startrek, even Bicentennial Man gave a better argument. I can't think of any other scifi that tackles this subject, atleast that isn't using a single robot that you grow close to over the story and arguing with how likable they were.
