Supposed to be Templar!Ceylon playing with a Holy Smite but I got carried away with artistic liberties and shit like that.
Realised post-scanning her right shoulder is smaller than her left. WHY YOU DO DIS SCANNER. That arm behind her back was a bitch to do without reference but I'm happy with it.
Lighting needs more study and research and general knowing-what-I'm-doingness.
Okay so basic details/steps - sketched in pencil (2b), neatened up, went around it in violet and then brilliant blue inks, then black. Holy smite fire has some brilliant green in it but scanner said WELL FUCK THAT.
Ceylon is painted with watercolours first with a Pentel waterbrush and then with a smaller 2 round from the Winsor& Newton Cotman range (111)
White on the fire and sash is gouache.
Took me two nights. Not hapy entirely with it but whatever. Was an experiment.
Done in my cheap-ass fake moleskine.
Ceylon belongs to
Templars (in this concept) and Dragon Age: Origins belong to BioWare.
Yes I skimped on her armour. Made up for it though in the next piece.
Art is hard when your muse isn't there anymore.
