niho'oi (left) one tiger shark tooth lashed to an L shapped piece of Koa wood. cuts like a surgical scalpel.
leiomano (right) many tiger shark teeth lashed to a plat form with a handle, made of Koa wood. tears its victims to ribbons. imagine a shark bite but with grater force and on land X3.

yeah i saw that show. Maori never used the leiomano, i think they used it for the show because they admired our Hawaiian weapon. though they used it a bit wrong on the show, its more for shredding than smashing.
you would make contact then cut, not so much swing for the fences. and you usually aim for soft flesh, not well represented by a thick side of beef. we aim for the belly, neck, testicles, ETC>

thanks so much XD. i was working on them all day today lol. i know balaa wanted one so i will look for tiger shark teeth and see if i can get a picture out of her for one of these bad boys X3. as for the hooks you asked me about, i will have those for all of you for free :3
Oh man, those are wicked, and gorgeous! I have a love of weapons for hand-to-hand combat like knives, swords, daggers, batons, and other blades and bludgeoners. These are quite beautiful and I love the artistry and inheritance mastery of the craft and it's implied use.
I mean, sure, it's one thing to go up against a guy who's about to cut you up with shark teeth... but do you really wanna go up against a guy who had to GET the teeth FROM the shark in the first place?
Now that's one bad dude.
