Square loses his arm twice. Triangle is using Circle's gun. Star is like 3 rungs above the rest of the shapefoxes socially. Circle is in a gang that punched WAY above their weight class to arson/heist Pointy's casino, and they got smacked down hard for it. I think Circle and Triangle are brothers, you see Triangle getting a brand new jacket in the credits scene right after "the big score".
There are a whole bunch of moments of James Bond imagery sprinkled throughout (gun as strip pole, the rising bullet scene, the golden bullet).
Every time you see a closeup of Triangle's feet, there's some symbolism going on. Stepping on the yellow triangles, and then the back-to-back parallel of the dropped gold and the dropped gun.
All the pink circles everywhere throughout, such as the bloodstain of the mooks at the end...
C'est magnifique.

Let's not forget, there's several types of conflict going on here.
1. Mecha vs. Orga, as everyone in the casino is heavily augmented in some way, if not full on android/cyborg going against the organic; save for Square's robotic arm that he gains after the smackdown, but then that's when you tread into what I like to call "Adam Jensen" territory. The loss of his arm was the result of the brawl, not because he decided to augment himself.
2. Clash of the classes/Social conflict. This is pretty much self explanatory. The shapefoxes/wolves are no where near the social level of Pointy and his social circle.
3. And this may be a bit of a stretch, But I couldn't help but feel there was a Predator/Prey conflict as well. Pointy's party members consisted of an owl, rabbit, gazelle, goat, armadillo, and mice. These going up against a small pack of Shapefoxes/wolves
