This, more than anything, I think really showcases just how far I've come.  The original was my first truly free-handed drawing and . . . well it sucked.  I did not know how to do effects, I was really unfamiliar with the tools and I was just outright terrible at anatomy.  While I'm still working on getting down my ability to do anatomy reliably, I've got enough down that even if my initial sketch doesn't have perfect anatomy (this one didn't) I can usually touch it up pretty well when converting it to digital.  I'm quite pleased with how this turned out.
My only disappointment was I drew it really small in digital because that was the size of the background provided, but when I enlarged it for clearer viewing, I forgot to set the lines and effects to scale with the pic, which really threw the effects off.  I did my best to get it back to how it initially looked, but . . . well, so long as you never see the pic in its original size, you probably won't notice the difference.  It did look a little bit better before, though.  Oh, well.

So here, Misty, May, and Dawn, having failed to pay Ursula for her services, are seeing the cost of defaulting on a contract with her.  They are not enjoying it, I can sure tell you that much.  In a matter of moments, they will become permanent residents of the sea witch's garden.  Poor unfortunate souls.
