I've been working on this for awhile now, and what's shown is mostly done now, so I figured I should show! Screenshots from Blender of my latest modelling project!
This is intended for an av to sell on SL, provided I can get the face rigged well and all! I'm setting up some stuff to have options, like eyebrows, optional eyelashes, lower lip, teeth...I'm thinking the nose should maybe have a smaller option also for people who don't like the toony huge nose, but I haven't figured out how to get that to work well yet.
But hopefully I'll get this working (and the rest of the av made), since it's pretty much exactly like what I was trying to make so far.

FUCKING ABSOLUTELY. Someone is currently in the process of a decent yeen head right now but it's not at all like this style so it will be awesome to have various options. So many folks "settle" for the 'wolf hyena' and it's always just sorta made me grumble. I'm not really active much on SL anymore but if you release this I will absolutely pick it up in an effort to support the creation regardless of if i'm playing much or not lol. Love your work and your vision, punkrock. Looking forward to updates of this!
Yep! My plan is for fully bento everything with idle animations and at least a few different 'mood presets' for the expression (all animated rather than the face just being frozen in an expression). I did something like that with the head for my personal av, so I've got a good idea how to get it all working as long as I can get it rigged well. And talking animation done like on my own head also (where the mouth randomly makes different phonemes that blend together instead of just the jaw flapping up and down).

Yeeees I was honestly just takin about your style the other day with my husband hoping to see it come back! Funny part it was even a hyena character of mine I wanted in your style ha! I loved your avs back in the day seeing this makes me super happy, be sure to let us know if you start up a new group or so! ♥

Probably will be using my old group for av release notice stuff, since I'll probably still use the CLC name for my new store and it's more convenient for anybody who's actually still in the group after all this time, heh.

Also, people still live in my sim? I've been meaning to remodel and actually finish the place the way I originally envisioned it being, but I've noticed there's stuff there I didn't put there and I'm not sure how I can do it without being disruptive to people who've been using any of the current stuff in my sim after it got abandoned by me for years. >_>;

Is there still a sim-wide group you're in? I guess an announcement of some kind works best? I dont live there, but I've a good friend that do!

After I get this hyena done, rat and bat and fox are all competing for the next thing to make since I really wanna do all three (and the first two of those were my most popular avs back in the prim and sculpt days, so people would probably want them).

You showed me this earlier and just like how I freaked out then... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH YES. Already miles better than anything in SL currently.
Also, I didn't notice this at the time but the eyeball texturing is so nice, so shiny and smooth and eyeball-like. I wanna... touch it.
