I think I have tops 50 dollars invested in it, all grom scratch including the bed and cross slide castings (commercial rollar bearings in the head stock)
go find copies of david ginerie's build your own metal lathe, then change some things to A: scale it larger and B: make it far more versitile, also posted is pics of the mill from scratch,
