It's easy to label demons as "evil", considering all they do. But they operate on a completely different axis to the rest of us. It's not that they take pleasure in cruelty, it's that they literally cannot comprehend the way we feel about it. Their minds just work differently, so despite what they do, it's kind of hard to properly hate them for it.
