This whole premise really fascinates me. Like, being turned into this sort of monster. Not only do you have the strange new glossy body that must feel so, so much different, and with a way lighter body mass you'd have to adapt to, but you also just see things somehow, mysteriously, despite have smooth surface where eyes should be.

I really do lack words sufficient to express how much I dig this.

The previous picture and this remind me of the kind of stuff you'd get out of a Goosebumps book, and I love it!

I'd call the description worrying, but then you realize that they do nothing but speak like that, so I guess it checks out x3

So is there lore about these? Context? Is there any explanation as to what these pretty things are?

Aaaaah, thank you very much! Unfortunately, the lore and context on these things is (rather intentionally) really vague and inconsistent, and a lot of it is left up to interpretation, but these fellows here belong the a poorly named concept of mine known as "The Megas." Here's a folder of all of their art in case you haven't seen it!

The only really consistent lore on these fellows is that they seem to be interdimensional oddities who have a bizarre, unknowable fascination with us and our emotions. They appear to you in a form that you're familiar with, but they're not very good shapeshifters so they often end up really distorted compared to what they meant to be, but as long as you accept them, they will remain. Given their reality breaking nature, there's pretty much no consistency to how they appear or what they're even capable of, so beyond that, it's left up to your imagination!

Makes sense, a bit of mystery and vagueness lets us paint our own squeaky puffy transformative picture~
