The Serpasis were an ancient race as far as the Earth had known. In truth, this race itself was alien in origin as they arrived upon the Earth when a stray comet struck the surface. Not large enough to cause any long lasting damage but small enough that most did not notice its arrival. Within this comet, however, were a race of sentient snakes composed of some sort of gelatinous slime. When the Serpasis took to the Earth, they were able to take to the different biomes almost immediately, able to thrive and adapt to the various elements. While still adolescent, the Serpasis are able to travel through the environs without much issue but once coming into maturity, each Serpasis must choose one biome in which to call its home and upon the day of maturity, their bodies will begin to adapt and alter itself to take on elements of their surroundings.

This Serpasis is of the jungle variety. Once matured, the jungle Serpasis will see its body take on a black, semi-transparent skin/scale as to absorb light in order to keep itself from being seen in the depths of the jungle. Able to blend into the greenery, thanks to its green slime, this Serpasis is able to traverse the Jungle in order to stalk prey for various purposes. Being that it is of a gelatinous composition, moisture is key to its survival and it sees this as its primary need. As long as it can absorb moisture from it, just about anything can become prey from plants to animals. It will drink water but the easiest means to absorb most moisture is to absorb its prey through its semi permeable skin, taking it into its body. Though whether it will let said prey go or fully absorb its prey is strictly up to the individual Serpasis. To help in attracting prey, the Serpasis will use hypnosis to stop most pret in its tracks as such hypnotic abilities is a shared ability through the race of Serpasis as a whole. Though it is said the level, strength of such abilities varies depending on the necessity of such in each of the various biomes.
