What was originally supposed to be a simple Miiverse post in 2014 in the AC:NL community turned into this after I was very close to finishing it, and then accidentally hitting the bottom left back arrow on the screen before I could actually submit it. That one took me hoursto do. Was pretty mad at the time, but that very day I decided to redo it in Art Academy: Sketchpad on the Wii U where I could actually save my progress. Oh Nintendo, what a novel idea that would've been for Miiverse! Since then, I'd worked on finishing it on and off in GIMP this year so this is the final result of it.

Anyway, to keep it a bit short...just a picture of my <i>AC:NL</i> villager and one of my favorite villagers/former town residents Jacques chilling together at sunrise in my town of Jersey. He moved away two summers ago before I got a chance to stop him, sadly. Just thought it'd be fun to illustrate us both getting ready for the day, to take on life's most important challenges like catching a whale shark for your neighbor amongst a sea of endless sea bass to trade for the shirt off their back or achieving perfection by growing the world's best and tastiest perfect pears is as easy as literally burying a pear with the adjective 'perfect' attached to it. The theme was originally all about this fashion-savvy bird showcasing his 'fabulosity factor' in his awesome plaid shirt and bright green beanie alongside my villager in his own plaid shirt (design was taken from Reign's 2010 Halloween skater getup). Hence, his familiar pose resembles that of Purple Link's "Fabulous" pose of internet meme fame, which was the original inspiration for this picture.

Granted, I don't play AC:NL as much as I used to, but I still visit my town of Jersey every few days to check on things for the fun of it...and on a semi-serious note, I do credit it with taking me away to a place of pure escape during past times of real family and personal hardships. I had even gotten back into it a bit after the unexpected but greatly appreciated Welcome amiibo update from a few years back which kind of made visiting my town feel fresh and fun again. But...on that note, I'll leave it as such.
