What's funny though is that we have the carnival here in Italy at the same time they have this festivity. Apparently the "last week before Lent" is the kind of stuff where people (i'm sure for "totally obscure reasons") really like to go wild.
It's as if knowing that they were about to fast for 40 days people really wanted to go wild one last time. 😂👍💖
