I love how you did the ears haha, I hate it when people give them tiny wolf ears. shepherd ears are HUGE.

It's true, I'm always taken aback when I use ref pics, the ears are very large. After drawing from refs i always wonder why people think German shepards and wolves look alike!

because in some movies, GSDs are used as a substitute for wolves... so people have forgotten to tell them apart.

True, kinda like how everyone things an eagle sounds like a red-tail hawk--that "Scccrreeeee!" sound when an "eagle" flies overhead? hawk.

I wonder why they don't use malamutes, considering a german shepard would be more likely to pass as a large coyote in my eyes XD

or swiss sheperds, they are fuzzier anyway. :)

have you ever seen older movies playing in south american or african jungles, and suddenly you heard a kookaburra?

YES It's always bugged me XD I have had several classes in ornithology (it's the field I wanted to go into when I was in school) and it drives me nuts how much bird-calls are misused)

and then there is that bird with a voice like meowing; we call it "cat-bird". I believe it's an amazonas native. you hear that guy everywhere, too. :)

We have catbirds where i live, it sounds like a dying cat XD It's a poor mimic too, though it loves to try.

aha, yes, that one.

and then there was a good mimicker in brasilian jungles, who even mimicked the noise of an old Leica camera, including the run-back of the filled film. :)

Yes! The Lyrebird, also from austrailia. It's amazing, we were watching those clips in class, complete with the chainsaws. I was in awe O_O
