This is an amazing painting! How did you get the leaves in the background look like they were out of focus?

Thank you! It's been a while since i made this painting, but i'm pretty sure it's just lens blur in photoshop. Maybe with some other blur stuff going on as well. Nothing fancy either way.

I was out in the desert about to do some target practice when I saw an ant nest where I'd usually set up. Not wishing to anger the ants and wishing to draw them all back to their den, I put some candy near their hill. They took note of it, but didn't do much. then I thought "Well it was hard candy, I should moisten it." so I sucked on another piece then put that near the den. They took more notice, but remained wary. Then I took an ice cube or two from a large ice water drink. They swarmed it. Even after it had melted, they still were in the area of the former ice cube.

Moral of the story: Food is good, but nothing beats crisp cold water.

Hey, if i were in the desert i'd be all over an ice cube as well and i feel like i'm not the only one! :')
