"You are...absolutely huge," Danathius remarked, eyeing up the yellow-scaled dragon standing before him. Hiryu stood at an impressive thirteen feet -- and that was just from the bottom of his paws to the tops of his shoulders! At full height, no doubt the looming yellow was around twenty feet or taller!
"All the better to gobble up annoying mages," the dragon said with a huff, glaring down at the tiny human on the ground, "look at you. You're barely even a mouthful." Hiryu snorted a puff of smoke from his nostrils in annoyance; certainly, to anyone who didn't know the scaled behemoth, it might seem as though he were genuinely upset and hostile toward the mage! Danathius only smirked and folded his arms across his chest before canting his head to one side.
"Uh huh. If you eat me, how am I supposed to read you any more stories, hmm," the mammalian morsel teased. Hiryu blinked, and his frown immediately melted into a look of confusion before he smirked and shoved his enormous head downward. He nudged the mage vigorously with the bridge of his muzzle, and it wasn't long before Danathius spread his arms out and hugged himself into Hiryu's snout, clinging tightly to the draconic muzzle shoving him. The poor mage couldn't even wrap his arms around the entirety of Hiryu's snout, but that didn't stop Danathius from trying. He found himself laughing and giggling in the process.
"Fine, I won't eat you. But you have to keep reading to me, or else, I just might," the large dragon proclaimed with another snort, hot air billowing the mage's hair about on his head. Danathius blinked, blushed, and hugged Hiryu's nose as tight as he could.
"It's a deal," the mage replied happily, content to have made another friend.
