What classifies as a sketch these days

lmao its different for everyone. id call this a sketch cause of the shorter amount of time it takes/the messiness of the lines, i just dress it up a lot with quick colour/shading lol.

I can agree that the idea of a sketch can be somewhat subjective, but looking at your other pieces it's not that far off. In fact, I would even wager to say that this sort of work is actually preferential given the texture and overall aesthetic despite the linework maybe not being as "refined". That said, the messiness I feel is additive, not a testament to the amount of time you did or did not spend.
