Arcagel is many things. Mostly, it's the waste product of magic reactions and stuff (typically found at small traces in faecal matter), which only few have managed to control. However, rarely, arcagel takes a life of its own (symbiotically). And it can take the form of certain creatures, may or may not have any connection to what you're attracted to (results still pending).
This example is Bill Ferry, a human who lives in Socy, known for its high yield of Arcane fuel, and worked in the field of extract such Arcane fuel. However, when a waste disposal of Arcagel dropped on him, it didn't kill him, but turned him into a female goo wolf.
