A brick of of a shuttle with strong defenses to fend off fighters and missiles, and good armor to weather near misses from heavy ground batteries. Also packs some heavier mass drivers to suppress some of the ground defenses on the way in.

The same weapons and armor also give it a fighting chance when flying across the void between two colossal spaceships when heading in with boarding parties. With the added benefit of being able to blast some new 'doors' to allow the troops to enter.
