My thought process...

Brown is the color of Cronin magic. White is the color of Vitrin, which is described as basically taboo magic, and is like being eaten alive from the inside. Mis' I do believe is naturally a white dragon, but perhaps at one point in her life, she tried to tap into Vitrin. It didn't go well, and she barely survived. The resulting blowback from it left her badly scarred in some way, which gave her a noticable brown spot.... which technically could then be used to use Cronin magic maybe? It's interesting that the temple teaches primarily Hadalen magic, which is a little more unique due to it's requirements that she herself seems to lack. Hadelen being diametrically opposed to Vitrin. In a temple where she typically takes in outcasts and societal rejects. So her accessing Vitrin may have had some sort of impact on her socially as well that resulted in Mis' herself being outcast.

TLDR, Mis is white, but a bad trip with Vitrin gave her a brown spot that she uses for Cronin, and now she has a temple to teach Hadalen because she's seen Vitrin personally and never wants a world where Vitrin becomes common place.

Just spinning theories really, but this is a fun and interesting story and I'm eager for the next page.

It's just a theory. It could be painted over, hence the remark of paint. I thought perhaps even she may have something hidden under her hair. Because I don't believe any of the other dragons we've seen had hair. She could theoretically give herself hair with the shape changing magic, and use it to cover a mark.

I actually I'm rather curious how an all white dragon supposedly does or doesn't have a focus, especially when they can use pretty much every element of magic.

Weren't you listening when she said that she made the temple to research magic? Clearly the temple itself is her focus.

I have to wonder what kind of parents/heritage she has that gives her access to so many different forms of magic, and whether or not said heritage was by design.

I'm guessing she dye's or paints her scales/skin.

Find it first, then open it up quietly if there is no key hole. Of course, if you want to alarm every guard, monster, Demon Lord, Vampire and Dragon that you are opening a hidden door... And tell them exactly where with all that racket? Be my guest.

Sure, but that's a lot less sneaking-into-the-lab and a lot more blowing-up-half-the-temple :p

She has a point, but wouldn't the temple basically be a free target to a Cronin user?

Not many Cronin users are strong enough to displace rock, especially not at a speed that lets them sneak in. Most of them focus on plants. But yes, a high ranking Cronin mage could potentially sneak in.

Think I’m starting to understand why it looks like Mis don’t have a focus. It’s because white is combination of every color on color wheel, thus she probably mastered all the focuses so her focus is white and blends in with the rest of her.... did I get any of that correct? Or am I way off the mark?

She's silver, not white.
