This really happened. I was so sure "they die" was the right answer, but apparently it was "they have to be recharged, just like we need to be recharged each week at church."

This *really* happened? Hehehehe gosh that's funny!
Poor Cat... so enthusiastic, and yet a bit clueless. I give her points for her effort, though.
And I *love* Dawn's look in the last panel! She knows that Cat is going off into left field, but she's just sitting back in amusement.

Thanks for visiting the site~glad you're enjoying the story!
I appreciate your concern about proper classification, I actually wondered about that earlier when I started posting pages, and expressed my concerns here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1045229/
Since then, I've been classifying one page comic gags as visual/digital art, and comic pages that I've taken time writing out into a script and pacing into a story as visual/readable art. I've found nothing in the FA terms that's against this, though if you've read something I haven't a link would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid I disagree-you're correct about text vs. visual, but not artwork vs. storytelling. There are several ways of telling stories-text, comics, oral tradition, etc, and they all effectively stimulate the reader's imagination. I spend a lot of time writing and rewriting my comics, and I know they wouldn't be nearly as effective without words. Therefore, I believe they qualify as "readable art."
However, I do plan on emailing the FA about my concerns, and asking for a more specific definition of how comics and graphic novels should be defined.

Ahaha.
You're a nerd.
Wait... I'm the nerd.
Anyway, go here "http://www.furaffinity.net/submit/" Look at them black words above those three columns. "textual"... hm... sounds like letters and no pictures. "visual" maybe that's a photographs, a comic or a portrait? And "music"... isn't that the stuff people have ears for?
Person, it's simple.
Stuff you see = Visual
Stuff you ONLY read = Textual
Stuff you listen to = Audio
There are gray areas, including the hyroglyphs of the Egyptians and pictures that include large portions of text, using the pictures as optional aid.
But fact: comic = visual art, not TEXT.
The picture MATTERS, the text too, but that former is the spark that bursts the bomb.
It's the base that does it, no?

Yay, nerds!
I understand your point, but I believe story is the driving force of comics. You could use the best artwork ever seen for a comic, but if the story isn't strong I wouldn't be interested.
Anyway, I just asked the admins to offer a more specific definition of comics~any idea how long they take to usually respond?

Story, I know, but the 'story' section suffers from that name.
The actual name should be 'written story' or 'textual works'. Wait... that IS written, albeit unclear and so foolish a child could define it better.
Simply, you're posting in the wrong place. The 'story' section is for TEXTUAL work, as shown by the black text above the column in the submit area. It should be more clear that it's TEXT-only.
Think about it, POETRY is below it, and poetry cannot be visual (although a picture can be added).

You know what, I'll just do what sane people do: quote:
"Story
Submission for short stories and other creative writing."
Copy-paste submit-page.
Person/dude/gall, you're in the wrong place.
Oh, wait:
" Artwork
Submit your art and images. "
Suck it!
Sorry, but when I argue, I really put myself out there to destroy people, whatever I'm right or wrong.

I find what Dawn is bringing up very interesting. I've known a lot of folks who go to church in whatever religion they're part of, but themselves do not believe it. But the culture is so ingrained in them and the routine of going to church so normal, that they go anyway. One of the answers I've got from people when I ask them why they bother going, is the sense of community they get by attending church. I find it facinating and I'm curious as to where this will go.
Sounds like your experience growing up with the Mormons was interesting. Keep up the good work.

"THEY DIE!"
Oh lord I seriously busted out laughing.
I started reading this comic a few hours ago and I must say it is awesome :D The one thing I like is the contrast between characters. Dawn is the motherly and mature one. Ronnie is the young woman the one who likes to have a good time and causes trouble. Cat is the innocent little girl who is spastic and silly. Together they are like a family. I just really like that :]
This has to be my favorite strip so far. Also this running gag of people getting uppity about visual/digital art and visual/readable art just makes me giggle. Not trying to start anything but I totally agree with you that this comic at it's core is a story and I find nothing wrong with classifying it as such.
Ok sorry for my wall-o-text but again I love this comic and I have also checked out the site.
Keep up the amazing work
