I wonder if that "other" her is the core from the fruit. Would explain why Cherry was acting like she coulden't think straight until it broke, and why the more cores a fruit has the more it controls you.

Ooh, this is interesting! A strange and new effect for the fruit...it was a cored fruit, one core, we know what that did to Cherry, but it's supposed to be different for humans...maybe the new personality is universal, but for a human it's weaker and for a drifter it's compounded? Describing it as an older version of the self, also interesting...supposedly the fruit shouldn't land on this world anymore, so it's not like people would remember the details associated with the transformation. And then there are the first few pages of chapter five...based on those flowers, I'm leaning towards that freed being being involved, here...though it's still all guesswork and speculation, I do loves doing some guessing and speculating!

Oh, and I love the background in the bottom-left panel. Awesome work all around!
