Whooo! Crane games! I kick ass at those! The trick is to go for the "loose" ones first, not the ones you want. In other words clear the area around the one you want by winning or just knocking around the toys that might be pinning the pikachu down. In the case of a wall-hugger (like in the pic) try to get the red toy thats in front of it first. That way Pikachu will fall over and give you a better angle. Once it's open, posisition the claw not just above him, but try to angle the prongs so that it's aligned with pikachu's body. That way the tip of the claw won't bump pikachu's body and get knocked out of line. Once the claw is lined up, DON'T DROP IT YET. Walk around the machine and look at it from several angles first to make sure it's lined up as good as possible, especially low angles. Then cross your fingers and let 'er go!

Might seem like a lot, but me and my Uncle David would clean those things out when I was a kid. The door greeter would actually give us extra shopping bags to carry them in.

x33 That's amazing~.... Yeah--I sometimes help my girlfriend's mother with crane games, since she does that too but sometimes has a bit of a problem with depth-perception. Me--yeah, I'd try the technique, but we also found out this crane's loose. =\ But it's at least good to know somebody else out there at least shares a similar technique. :3 Thanks for the advice!!
