Here is another view of that 1968 Ford Thunderbird that I promised a few weeks ago. The hidden headlights were a feature that first appeared with the prior model year.

I've always liked this generation of the Thunderbird. The 1971 T-Bird was the last American car to feature the so-called suicide doors (Lincoln dropped them after 1969).

The Thunderbird has always been a favorite of mine next to the stang and falcon. Wish ford would bring it back

I really liked the 11th generation T-Birds (2002-2005) and the way they recalled the design of the early-to-mid 1960s models. They just never seemed to catch on. I wish they had.

Needs just a _tiny adjustment to get the headlight doors aligned. IIRC, there's a brass screw that does the job.

*laughs... my folks had one of these too... never cared much for it... I scratched the door trying to get into the garage and was surprised he didn't beat me for it...
