I had some cool ideas for this piece, but it was tough translating them to the artist. I had hoped this could be some visual depiction of a feeling. I wanted it to feel like that strange in-between feeling you have when you realize you've been feeling down for a very long time, but then you've suddenly caught a glimpse of a break in the clouds at the horizon. Or even the opposite, such as when you have been feeling very well for a while, but then you feel that gentle chill of a deeply indifferent mood blow through, signifying the onset of another long bout of not-so-good moods. The quote is paraphrased from In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.
