Ayu is a rather passive creature, more so focused on seeing what's around her and not disrupting things too much than claiming things as her own. Either it’s due to not wanting to stay in one area in fear of being found, or not wanting to disrupt the normalcy of whatever nature she finds herself in. She just wants to live, see the world and be at peace with her world.
She wants to avoid contact from humanoids, seeing as she knows what they did to her people so many years ago. If she does run across one, a few things could happen. If she has not been spotted, she will curiously observe from afar until they leave her domain. If they spot her and she knows that, she will either leave or try to subdue and deal with the target in question. It depends how attached she is to her current environment. If she does have to subdue targets, she usually will make a meal out of them.
She eats gold as well as meat on rare occasions. Her breath turns things into gold, so food is not an issue for her, so long as she has some bolder or cave to use. She prefers inorganics as they turn instantly and isn’t from a living being. For humanoids, she’ll turn them to gold if they are a large struggle to deal with, but if it was rather easy to subdue the target, she would eat them raw. She does not hunt, thus these moments are very rare and not her first instinct.
If she has to, she will defend herself and things that she deems worth defending. With wind magic, her own physical power (which compared to the other subrace of her kind is not as bad as it could be) and golden fire she is one hard fight. If you aren’t blown away by heavy winds or turned to gold from her breath then you’ll need to survive against her sharp claws and spikes as well as more fire.
Her race are a species of dragons that are purely gold in both flesh and blood, as well as having gems for both eyes and bones. They existed from the time of the ancient Greek gods up to around the year Ayu herself was born. Civilization, either through advancements in war technology, luck or sheer brutality, wiped out almost, if not all, of her kind. All in the pursuit of wealth. Trophies made from her kind can sometimes be found in museums, thought of as simple works of art by crafters instead of hunting trophies. All records of her kind have been lost to history, since there was no need to record the savagery.
Now alone, Ayu remains as the ruler of a dead race, wanting to survive the remaining years of her immortal life in peace.
