I am so happy with how this came out. I was thinking about auctioning off a speedpaint. But I'm so tired I don't think I can keep up with bidding and closing times. So I shrugged off the wip and left it for later. I picked it up and decided if nothing else, I'd like practice taking those postcard speedpaints. So I decided to draw a portrait of my personal pillowing, Cherish. <3
Cherish means a lot to me, even to this day. My love for her only seems to grow. Lots of people worry very much about having too many oc's or not giving them attention. They forget, they don't mind! They are just there, waiting for you, whenever you decide to do anything with them. That's why it's so amazing, it's like they all have their own little doors you can just walk into any time. You never need to feel shame or guilt over them. You add little bit each time you visit them. A new drawing, an art trade, a playlist or album dedicated to them, stories written... Bit by bit is what makes the bond.
Sometimes you feel immediate attraction which can be good and fun. But just like people, oc's take time to build relationships too~ What they mean to you. What is their functions. What do THEY like even if you don't? These characters can chill in their own idle village. Every time they get to see you, they are so glad. So you should never be ashamed of showing up "late" for them. Any time is a good time. Never an obligation, only joy and freedom.

I have only two OCs and I cherish them both. The Celebi which I use more often has been "with me" since I first emulated Crystal many MANY years ago. I used a cheat code to see everything shiny and this one kinda stuck with me since then. While it took many years for me to start drawing, I always tried to get a shiny Celebi hacked in (I have emulated everything up to Black/White).
My other OC is from a custom species and she's important to me because of being kinda this reminder that somewhere in the world I have some friends despite none of them being local.
