It's dangerous to wander the back alleys of Xern at night. A seedy city as it is during the day, doing any form of business during the night was asking for trouble. And talk of the town is there's a new troublemaker prowling the streets. Too quick to see, peoples' pockets and riches were picked before they could even react to what was happening, some even caught completely unaware.

You weren't worried though. You were confident. One of the best grifters in the city even. A sack full of loot reminded you of that as you made your way back to shop. That is, until a hard shove, a tearing sound, and your satchel suddenly feeling much lighter changed your tune while you crumpled upon the ground. You spin around to see something unexpected standing over your chest. The creature was small and lithe in frame, you figured you could probably push him off, but he brandished a wicked knife up to your face. He stares at you with a satisfied smirk on his face and piercing white eyes. You can barely make out where he's looking. All of this, coupled with the almost too perfect shower of gold coins framing his visage, intimidated (or confused) you enough to not be able to react.

"Ah, don't try anything funny now. I don't normally like knives, but they're a lot cleaner than using my claws. Keeps them pretty too."

He chuckles and brandishes the knife closer.

"Now. Where were we?"

I've procrastinated on this long enough because I wanted to post something cheesy with it so HERE WE GO FINALLY

An amazing painting of Derge done by SN! I really like more thematic pieces with him so I can come up with little story elements to go along with them.

But also an awesome depiction of the character! I reeeally like the alterations on his outfit here, brings out the character more! But all of this is love, between the scene and his expression and how everything was laid out! Awesome work!

I need more Derge stuff.
