Hazel is a giant flying squirrel who runs a private security firm, protecting cities from monster attacks. She often moves from city to city as needed, but if a specific city is frequently attacked (or if they're willing to pay for Hazel's extended stay), she'll stick around, sometimes for months on end, and only occasionally leave if there's another city in peril.
She's very strong and agile, self-trained in several forms of hand-to-hand combat, and is able to glide long distances by leaping from a tall vantage point and extending her gliding membranes (which retract into her body, giving her the appearance of a 'common' squirrel unless she makes an 'X' pose).
Hazel is very friendly, active and curious, and her pastimes include mountain climbing, cross-country gliding, exploring new places and meeting new people. She also has a terrible weakness for nuts of all sorts, and often spends much of her security paychecks reimbursing the peanut factories and tractor trailers that she 'cleans out'.
