that's surprising the screen is still working knowing that it has a bad crack at the top right corner of the computer.

It was likely due to bad delivery but thank god it still works fine. I could attempt to take it apart and super glue the cracks carefully but I would have to discharge the crt.

you could probably probably find a empty base shell that's still in tact

If you disassamble the Monitor, you have to wear a antistatic bracklet on that wrist of that hand, you will disconnect the HV Cable. Before that, conneckt that antistatic bracklet to the shilding of the crt. At worst you zap your Hand wile disconnecting...... not your heart.
After disconnecting use a resistor of 10-20 M ohm between shild and HV Connector of the crt to discharge the crt........
I have disassambled a lot TV/computer crt Units......never got zappt..... but better be save than sorry....

This brings back memories! I never personally got the chance to own one of these, but we used them in computer class in middle school. I had a blast playing "Oregon Trail" on this. I didn't own my first PC until I was in High School, and by then it was Windows 95. Which I also really miss.

Aww, such a interesting time when computers were becoming popular in the homes and multitasking was starting to become more common with windows 95.

Yes, WIn 95 definitely was more user friendly for the average joe. I do recall using Win 3.1 before, only a few times at school and at a friend's house. I also used a classic Apple 2 in elementery school. We even had an Amiga in one of my middle school elective classes. That couldn't have been cheap for any school budget LOL!
