I ended up making Valentine Cards with all the dragons from The Dragon Prince and I have no regrets~

One does wonder why Avizandum (otherwise known as "Thunderthud") didn't do the proper medieval thing and just kill him when he was deposed as king. Leaving a loose cannon like that around when he's about to have a baby is one in a long list of mistakes he took to the grave with him.
Actually there was a Dragon Queen before Avizandum, called Luna Tenebris, and she reigned for 700 years. It was a tidbit of info given at a con, but considering she was the one who decided to only banish humanity instead of destroying it completely, I have the feeling she was somewhat forgiving in general.
Plus we didn't know how Sol Regem was before (both as a ruler and in general) nor how long Sun Archdragons are supposed to live, not to mention that being anti-human was justifiable for most Xadians. I'm just guessing he's going on the path of the "senile old racist fuck no one wants to speak with at family reunions" lol.

Well, he was quite willing to burn an entire city of innocents just to punish one mage, so he was a racist fuck even BEFORE said mage burned him, and he killed a LOT of people before that happened.
That tidbit is interesting, though. It sounds like the line of succession in the Archdragons was Sol Regem --> Luna Tenebris --> Avizandum. It doesn't change the fact that leaving Sol Regem alive damn near got his son killed - *twice*. Avizandum may have been a dragon kami, but he also could be a gold-plated idiot and that cost him his life. His mate had a whole lot more sense, as illustrated at the very end of the last episode. :>
