Dakota's redesign is finally complete, I’ve been working on redesigning my main fursona since December and this is the final result. I’ve never been happier with her ♡ I made Dakota back in February of 2017, and I’ve changed her design four times now. I just never felt satisfied with it, there always seemed to be something missing. I eventually found out what the missing element was, she wasn’t colorful enough for my tastes. So, I completely revamped her color palette. I experimented with two prototypes before I eventually made this design. Her new palette is inspired by strawberry shortcake, I also gave her a chicken plushie that I’m still trying to think of a name for.

Dakota is a waitress at a breakfast nook, she also assists with Rosemary’s greenhouse during the spring and summer months. Dakota is a hard worker but struggles to develop meaningful relationships with others because she is awkward and easily flustered. She is the type to flake out on plans and not keep promises but she is trying to get better. Dakota has an admirer that she anxiously avoids because said admirer is an obnoxious spider that has no concept of personal space. Dakota is also slightly self conscious over the fact she is a skunk and feels like others judge her because of it. So, she surrounds herself with pleasant smells to try to not fulfill the stereotype of being a stinky skunk. 🦨
