I've reworked & put a lot more love into my little rodent D&D race- here are the three varieties!

Heikkomous (Heikka, a word meaning sand (finnish). could be misconstrued as Heikko, finnish for weak, if you wanted to read into it that way.)
these podkhans are the base, desert-dwelling subrace. known far & wide for their crafting abilities, they can be found just about anywhere selling their wares.

Valkomous (finnish word valko, meaning white. mous in all words derived from base word for tutkimous)
an arctic-originating race of podkhans, inspiration taken from arctic hares. Very clothing-focused in their creations, but also do ice carving a lot. VERY fluffy.

Tutkimous (finnish word Tutkimus, meaning research. -mus lengthened to mous, for wordplay reasons.)
A variation of the Podkhan that's evolved from human "intervention"- when the Podkhan was discovered, various tests & experiments were performed on them, and lead to this less-creative, more magically-inclined subrace. Visually more rat-like.
