Rui is a voidling who is the head of the voidling archers.


Personality:
Rui is a loner and chooses not to socialize with humans or youkai. When first introduced, he speaks bluntly and with lively. After working at Butanoniku, he seems to happily work as a waiter, but feigns ignorance when this is noticed.

As a creature from a different dimension, he lacks knowledge on how to behave in certain situations such as paying with money and working a computer or phone.


Ability:
Seeing well in darkness
As a creature that is originated from the void, Rui is capable of seeing in the dark. He remarks that most voidlings share this ability and are usually raised to be soldiers.

Resistance to damage
During a failed robbery at Butanoniku, one of the criminals attempt to stab Rui only for the blade to shatter. When asked about this, Rui explains that he is a type of voidling that is resistant to all sorts of pain or damage, and points out that the player is lucky to use magic as they wouldn't have the chance to beat him when they first meat him.


Occupation:
Rui is an corporal archer in the voidling army of archers. After his defeat by the player, he moved to their realm in Henkei, claiming his move is part of his assignment as a spy, but this isn't confirmed in a way of sorts. He currently works as a waiter at Butanoniku during his stay.


Possessions:
As an archer, Rui owns a bow. He says that the bow was craft from a special type of mineral that can't be found on earth. He is shown to conjure and shoot arrows out of magic of some sorts.


History:
Rui is originated from a void, an unknown plain of existence or dimension that is impossible to enter, unless with some special abilities and items. Rui became corporal and is said to be the the first young voidling to reach that rank. During the breaking barriers incident, a portal to the void was opened and Rui was assigned to invade earth, but was defeated by the player.

After their defeated and the void portal being sealed again, Gregalias granted the voidlings passage to earth by crafted an unknown located portal if they were to follow the spell card rules and limits. The voidling general sent Rui to earth as a spy, but he seems to get carried away during his stay at Henkei.


Relationships:
The player
After his defeat with the player, Rui is in good terms with them and allows them passage to the void. When e resides in Henkei, he ponders if he will ever meet them again.
