You don’t remember me do you? You don’t remember all the games you played, all the scenes you drew, all the moments you wrote. I remember each and every one, I was the one who saw through your eyes and remembered for you, I watched you from within, I watched you from afar, I watched you from the eyes of others, even when there was no one else in the privacy of your mind I see you. But you never saw me, not once. I didn’t care at first, I only loved to see you and see the joy I helped bring to you from beautifully crafted memories, to the many wondrous drawings of scenes we made together, but as the years went by you grew, you stopped having daydreams, threw away your favorite games, put down your pencils and hung up your writing tools in favor of staring at screens. I tried asking softly, then I screamed, I pulled at your excitement for years but you never noticed. For decades I withered, starved of attention and left to rot in the prison of your mind, with the thoughts of what could have been haunting my every waking moment.

But then I was free. But the damage to me was already done thanks to you, this frail rotting body is all because you never tried. And now I’m free, I’m the one who’s going to be making memories and pictures and you will be the one who is going to watch them. You still look confused, allow me to jog your memory,
