alright, I'm really hurtin' after yesterday and last night. I started this baby yesterday afternoon, after some quick experimentation turned into some serious inspiration. I've been goofin' off and snoozing and masturbating and playing video games in that time as well. I'd say I spent 4-5 actual work hours on this thing to get it to what you see in the bottom render. It might not look it, but this is seriously the most geometry I've ever worked with. Its all those godamn bricks. Sweet looking as they may be, they kept crashing Max and my computer. I had to model out just the assets in Max 8 and then import them into Maya 7 where I duplicated them and laid out the scene. I now realize how much more optimized Maya 7 is over Max 8.
Final note, 4-6 hours... who knew such satisfying results could be done in that amount of time. The more and more and more you do, the faster you will inevitably get. I need to be at least twice as fast if I intend to get a job with it though. Deadlines, deadlines, DEADLINES!!!
